Team Member Receives Health Care Hero Award
October 8, 2017
Kristin Henderson, senior director of clinical services for Presbyterian SeniorCare Network, recently received a 2017 Health Care Hero award given by the Pittsburgh Business Times. The Health Care Heroes Awards honor individuals, companies and organizations in western Pennsylvania for their contributions to improving health care in our region.
In 2003, Kristin joined the Presbyterian SeniorCare Network team as a nurse and worked her way up, performing duties as a charge nurse, assistant director of nursing and director of nursing. Kristin was nominated by Bobbie Gray, vice-president, care communities for the Network.
Bobbie says in her nomination letter: “As tenure at one organization becomes more rare, it is almost non-existent in skilled nursing clinical directors. But it is the day to day powering through whatever the day brings for almost 14 years, building trust with staff, families and residents that makes for a true leader. It is in the most difficult situations that one’s real character comes to light. While some may falter in these circumstances, Kristin’s true nature prevails. Leadership under pressure, inspiring confidence, bringing the full measure of her clinical skills – is what turns good manager into a health care hero.”
Congratulations to Kristin—thank you for dedication to the field and to our residents across the Network!
