Presbyterian SeniorCare Network and Lutheran SeniorLife Partner to Accelerate Growth of Longwood at Home
October 1, 2019
Two of western Pennsylvania’s leading aging services providers have joined forces to offer smart options for long-term planning through Longwood at Home, a nonprofit entity, which was established 17 years ago by Presbyterian SeniorCare Network.
Today Presbyterian SeniorCare Network President and CEO Paul Winkler announced that Lutheran SeniorLife has acquired a minority position in Longwood at Home and will have a seat on the Longwood at Home Board of Directors. Through Longwood at Home, older adults who want to age well in their homes and protect their assets enjoy the peace-of-mind that comes with contemplating long-term care needs as part of their long-term planning efforts.
Winkler noted, “We are looking forward to accelerating the growth of Longwood at Home to meet the anticipated spike in our region’s aging population and their overriding desire to stay in their home for as long as possible.” He added, “We are so pleased to be working in tandem with another prominent non-profit organization such as Lutheran SeniorLife, which has a similar mission and longstanding heritage of service and compassion for older adults.”
Lutheran SeniorLife President and CEO David Fenoglietto noted, “When you consider the huge growth projected for our region’s 65+ population, I see Longwood at Home as a great way for us to help people create a personalized support system to meet their goal of staying healthy and well in their home as they age.”
