Volunteers Enrich the Aging Experience
The more we give, the happier we feel! Perhaps this is why volunteering is a pastime for many. Presbyterian SeniorCare Network volunteers hail from many backgrounds and age groups, bringing a variety of skills and talents to help enhance the day-to-day programming at our campuses.
Our volunteers serve as an extension of our team and truly make a difference in the lives of our residents. If you like to connect with others and find helping others fulfilling, join our volunteer team! Simply complete the Volunteer Form, be sure to designate which campus you’d like to volunteer at, and a volunteer coordinator will be in touch!
Still not sure about volunteering? Be inspired by our current volunteers! Flip through the Fall 2018 issue of heartlines which features the stories of how volunteers from across our Network donate their time, utilize their talents and enhance the quality of life for all those we serve.
This may be the inspiration you need to find an hour or two in your week to volunteer at one of our communities!

Great things happen when the young and young-at-heart connect! Youth Engagement Pathways – or YEP! – is our summer volunteer program specifically designed for students 13-17 years of age.
YEP! provides a cool opportunity for students to interact with older adults in fun activities such as:
- 1:1 visits
- Events like baking, gardening, pet therapy, arts and crafts and more
- Small group activities, exercise or outings and trips
In addition to participating in special events for resident, you’ll have the opportunity and flexibility to contribute in a variety of worthwhile ways. We rely on volunteers for our unique hospice and pet therapy programs, as well as more traditional opportunities such as: resident visitation, Eucharistic ministry, engaging residents in activities, staffing for on-campus shops, and serving as an escort around campus and for community outings.
You’ll often hear Presbyterian SeniorCare Network residents say our team is “like family”—and that includes our volunteers. Our volunteers represent a variety of ages and life experiences, but they make an immeasurable, positive impact in the lives of our residents and their family members.
