Affordable Housing
Affordable senior housing in western PA
A legacy of trusted care in western PA and beyond.
For more than 30 years, Presbyterian SeniorCare Network has provided affordab
le senior housing in all sizes and types—from condominiums to high-rise apartments for income-qualified seniors and persons with disabilities in the western PA area.
Through our SeniorCare Network team, we manage housing for seniors and persons with disabilities at more than 30 locations. Eligibility depends on the way each site is funded. Find out how we make living in comfort easier.
HUD (the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) says you are eligible to apply for assistance if your income is very low (generally equal to 50 percent of the area median family income, adjusted for household size). A resident in Public Housing may either pay 30 to 40 percent of their adjusted gross income toward rent, or a flat fee based on the unit for which they qualify.
Here you pay about 60% of what you would pay in the open market for a rental unit. In comparison, a resident receiving HUD assistance for Public Housing would pay 30% of what they would pay in the open market.
A supportive housing community also provides wraparound supportive services. As your needs change, services and resources are available to help you. For example, many properties we manage have Service Coordinators who support the property managers by going above and beyond to ensure the wellness and comfort of our residents.
