Share the Love is the Day of Giving Valentine’s Day Theme
(Oakmont, PA) – February 7, 2022 – Presbyterian SeniorCare Network is celebrating Valentine’s Day with its first Day of Giving, which will become an annual event. In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, the February 14th Day of Giving theme is Share the Love.
“Our Day of Giving is an important event in helping us to close the gap between reimbursed and unreimbursed care,” said Jacqueline S. Flanagan, CFRE, Executive Director, Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation. “Each year Presbyterian SeniorCare Network provides $23.3 million in unreimbursed care to residents and $2.6 million to those who outlive their savings.”
To launch the Foundation’s first Day of Giving event, three challenge grants have been issued: one will match dollar for dollar when contributions reach $5,000; another when contributions reach $7,500; and a third when contributions reach $10,000.
“Benevolent care is an important part of our mission,” Flanagan explained. “At Presbyterian SeniorCare Network, one in five residents benefits in some way from benevolent care. In our 90-year history, we have never asked a resident to leave because of an inability to pay.”
The Foundation relies on donations to help fund the innovative programs and services that are provided every day to older adults who the Network is privileged to serve.
