PRESBYTERIAN SENIORCARE NETWORK INTRODUCES INITIATIVE TO BRIGHTEN SPIRITS OF RESIDENTS AND PATIENTS
March 21, 2020
Bring #RaysOfSunshine Through Cards and Notes
Presbyterian SeniorCare Network is calling on the community to help brighten the lives of its residents, patients and team members by delivering some #RaysOfSunshine during the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the community are invited to send a note or a card, long or short, big or small, homemade or store-bought, that will be shared with residents, patients and team members.
“People are reaching out to us asking if they can send cards and notes,” says Paul Winkler, President and CEO, Presbyterian SeniorCare Network. “In response, we checked with our chief medical director and received clearance that greetings can be received. We are introducing #RaysOfSunshine as both a digital and U.S. mail effort to bring a smile to our residents and patients, as well as our team members who are on the front line of providing care. We know that parents are looking for projects to keep their children busy while they are home from school. This project teaches about acts of kindness and bringing joy to others.”
All precautions and guidelines will be followed when the greetings are shared with residents, patients and team members. Cards, notes and videos also can be received at the Presbyterian SeniorCare Network Facebook page.
To send your greeting, visit SrCare.org/RaysOfSunshine for details.
